Marcus Atkins

I am the editor and photographer of the #1 blog in the St Louis area. I have been in media as a journalist professionally since 2000 and along the way have copped several awards from the Illinois Press Association, National Association of Black Journalists and a Regional Emmy Award nomination. My side projects are the annual Mr Couture Style Contest, photography (including the Obsidian Men of Color Calendar) consulting artists, and producing theater plays under my production company Maatology Productions. I also have Masters in Communications from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville
