Aaron Short grew up in Auckland, NZ and studied Audio Engineering & Music Production at the Music & Audio Institute of New Zealand. Following his degree, Aaron took a strong focus in sound design and electronic music production, and began work as a producer with the NZ band The Naked and Famous. In 2010, the band released their hit single 'Young Blood', which charted worldwide and turned platinum in the USA. Their songs have since been licensed on many major motion pictures and commercials worldwide. Aaron relocated from NZ to Los Angeles in 2012 to continue writing and recording, and touring with The Naked and Famous. In 2017, Aaron completed the debut album for his electronic project, Space Above. The album was an exploration of a darker sounds and atmospheric electronica, something he always held a strong passion for. His work continued to branch out to a world of film composition, where Aaron scored the feature length film Softness of Bodies (2018). Aaron has since departed from The Naked and Famous, and continues work in LA as a music producer and composer.
