English actor, Jon Bryden recently played a major guest role as Maurie Burke opposite Essie Davis in ABC's "jewel in the crown" production of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (bought by 120 territories worldwide) Hailing from London England, Jon moved to Melbourne Australia and trained for years at one of Melbourne's most reputable theatre training schools, Peter Sardi's School of Acting. Jon has appeared in a number of short films and has extensive experience in lead roles for theatre. Jon's repertoire includes voice over work including Mini Cooper's national radio campaign. Jon's experience extends to corporate video's and TVC's for ANZ and RACV amongst others. Committed to his craft Jon has trained at TAFTA and continues to train for TV and Film Acting at Screen Acting Melbourne with director Rohan Jones. Jon's obsession with all things film and TV began in childhood, with his favourite film, at the age of ten being Sidney Lumette's Twelve Angry Men. Recognising his calling, Jon gave up his day job and became a full time actor two years ago.
