Holli Herrle-Castillo is an award winning screenwriter, novelist, appellate public defender, and former New Orleans prosecutor. She has a BA in Drama from the University of New Orleans and a JD from Loyola University New Orleans. She is the author of the Crescent City Mystery Series, including Gumbo Justice and Jambalaya Justice published by Oak Tree Press. Holli attended an all-girl's Catholic High School and is a former state gymnastics champion. She worked her way through undergrad as a Can-Can dancer and worked as a child support collector during the day while she attended law school at night. In 2008, she was in a near-fatal head-on collision with a drunk driver that left her incapacitated for a year, putting off publication of her first novel. During that down time, she wrote her first screenplay, the award-winning Angel Trap. She is married to actor/writer Julio Castillo.
