Mohamed El Badaoui was born in the Rif, the 10th of September of 1979, in a beautiful Berber village between the mountains and the sea called Al Hoceima where he spends his childhood. After living for many years in Europe, he decides to go back to his hometown, where he shoots his first feature film, Solei-Man. It is also the first Berber (indigenous dialect of north Africa) film. As a multi-disciplined filmmaker, El Badaoui brings his skills and knowledge to every level of production. He is a visual story teller with a keen eye and a delicate style.
