Glo hails from a family whose name has been linked with show business for many years from Madame Gasgoine, her great-Grandmother who was famed as "The Clockeyed Lady" of the early twenties, to the famous "Macari and His Dutch Serenaders", Macari being Glo's Grandfather. With this wealth of family background and her very own special talent and personality, Glo entered into the entertainment business. Her first major performance came when she was fortunate enough to perform in a Variety show at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London alongside Bruce Forsyth, Roy Castle, the late Tommy Cooper, Harry Secombe, Larry Adler and many more. Glo has appeared in many other shows, one of which was the Tony Bennett Spectacular at the Hammersmith Town Hall. As well as these live appearances, Glo has to her credit several television appearances, one of which being with the Lionel Blair TV Special and the award winning "Cream in my Coffee". She performed in the televised show from the Rainbow Theatre, London; "A Tribute to a Boxer". Other artists involved were Muhammed Ali, Henry Cooper and Tom O'Connor. Her cabaret career includes many top "Night Spots" alongside such famous names as Jimmy Tarbuck, Kenny Lynch, Frankie Vaughan, Ted Rogers, Jerry Stevens, Lennie Bennett, Mike Reid, Les Dawson, Freddie Davies and many more. Glo also enjoyed seasons aboard cruise liners for the Fred Olsen Shipping Co. Her radio broadcasts include Radio Berlin' with Julie Felix and Ralph McTell and a The Mitchell Minstrels season for the BBC. As well as Glo's natural talent for performing, she has also been fortunate enough to have had the experience of recording several of her own singles which were recorded on noted labels such as EMI and PYE records. Glo has also been chosen by the record companies to sing on "session" vocals alongside Madeline Bell, Patti Boulaye, Shirley Bassey and Vince Hill. She has recorded two film scores; Love in Our Time (1968), produced by Elkan Allan and The Music Machine (1979) starring Patti Boulaye. Glo's voice has also been used in several television commercials. Another considerable talent of Glo's is that of song writing. Three of her compositions have been successful hits produced by Mickie Most who made these songs international best sellers for the groups Arrows, Racey and Smokie. Apart from being an excellent entertainer, Glo has certificates for acting and dancing which she acquired at the Aida Fosters Stage School, and she also attended the Lucy Clayton modelling School in London which led to several top modelling engagements. This talent combined with the fact that Glo is an accomplished guitarist puts her forward as an excellent all-round entertainer. In the mid-nineties, she was commissioned to co-write and produce a record for the animal welfare charity LYNX, with the help and co-operation of Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney, together with Pete Townshend, which was recorded at Eel Pie Studios, Twickenham and Long Hill Studios, Rye. At the end of the nineties, Glo spent two years working as lead singer with two resident bands at the Grand Hotels in Brighton and Eastbourne. This was followed by two consecutive summer seasons in Jersey, returning to do the London Hilton last summer.
