Baharan Baniahmadi (born on April 18,1984) is an Iranian (Middle eastern) actress based in Canada. After studying theatre at the Art University of Tehran, Baharan started her performing career on the stage in 2000 and she worked with many international stage directors across the world such as Ariane Mnouchkine and Fabrice Nicot, Amirreza Koohestani, Izumi Ashizawa, etc. Baharan completely switched to cinema after her third film "The Canon of the Accident" by Behnam Behzadi, which also gained her popularity as an Iranian actress on the international film festival circuit. Beside being an actress, Baharan is a writer and has one novel published in Iran which became one of the most popular Iranian novels of the year in 2017. Also, her short stories were published in Iran in 2006 and she has collaborated with many known journals based in that country. She has played roles in English, French, Persian and Arabic.
