Tsalta Baptiste (pronounced 'tuh-salt-tuh' - It's 'at last' spelled backwards) was born in Berkeley, CA to Monique McQueen, a High School teacher and Gerald Baptiste Jr., an Insurance Claim Adjuster. Growing up, Tsalta's neighbors often referred to his home as 'The Movie House' for being the place to find VHS tapes of popular movies if Blockbuster were ever out of stock. He began his career in acting on the Texas Southern University Speech and Debate Team which helped Denzel Washington prepare for his role in the movie 'The Great Debaters.' He later ventured overseas and became recognized by international audiences due to the debut of his self-produced and self-starring film 'Until the End of Time' which attracted the attention of Rolling Stone Italy, The NY Times, Vice, Complex, Maxim, Guide in China and 60 plus publications in 12 countries total. Tsalta is fluent in Mandarin, he's currently teaching himself how to play the piano and is a loving family man. Ask him to do an impersonation of your favorite personality and I'm sure he will surprise you with a pretty spot on impression as well.
