James DeLorean is a Los Angeles-based writer/producer/performer from Plano, TX. He studied sketch and improv at UCB, Second City, and iO West. He has written, produced, and/or starred in web series, short films, and an original musical. He writes half-hour comedies, one of which was a semifinalist in Final Draft's Big Break (2019). His work has been featured in LA Weekly, The Dallas Observer, Funny or Die, and the Huffington Post. He tends to write stories about broken people trying to get their shit together, and what family means to us in the modern world. His pieces have a nostalgic, throwback vibe. They're goofy but grounded and have a lot of heart. James has written original music for many of his projects such as The Jacket, Milkshake Maniac, Time Pals, and Hans the Incredible Unicorn. He wrote, produced, and starred in an original musical, Earworm, which enjoyed a limited run at The Lyric Hyperion. He enjoys long walks and romps with his golden retriever, Milo.
