Valery Voronin was a great Soviet football player, a defensive midfielder for the Soviet national team and for the Torpedo Moscow football club. The renowned athlete was found dead of blunt trauma to the skull at the age of 45 in 1984, almost 20 years after his career was suddenly ended by a tragic accident.
