Amahlia Day is an Australian Actor/Director of Sri Lankan, German and Polish heritage. She grew up in Brisbane, Queensland; where from a young age she trained and performed across Film, Television and Theatre. Most notably as Wendy, in the Peter Pan and Wendy Musical at Brisbane Arts Theatre, which saw her nominated for Young Star of the Month. Amahlia moved to Sydney in 2016 and began training with tutors such as Miranda Harcourt and Nadia Townsend. Following a desire to explore filmmaking in more depth, Amahlia applied to Sydney Film School; to which she was accepted after an outstanding submission. In 2018 she graduated from S.F.S with a Diploma of Screen and Media, and has since continued to work as an Actor, Director and Assistant Director for various film, TV, theatre and online projects. Her directorial debut, a documentary short called, Being Harley, recently made Official Selection for the 2022 Atlanta Docufest.
