Jermaine Risby was born June 24 in Concord, MA on an Army base. Soon after that he moved to Hartford, CT. He has been in Hartford for most of his life but once he turned 18, he began to want more then what life had to offer in CT. While he was really young, he fell in love with music. First he joined a church choir when he was about 7 years old and then he picked up the cello soon after that and never looked back. Jermaine attended the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts and was introduced to Musical Theater. Jermaine was lucky enough to be mentored by Carolyn Kirsch (a very well-known Broadway performer). She helped bring out his love for being on stage. After High School Jermaine attended Central CT. State University and got a degree in Music Education and also attended The Hartford Conservatory for Acting. Since school he has toured nationally and internationally in musicals/plays as well acting in several commercials and films. Jermaine fell in love with Kpop and in the process, Korean culture. He began to study up on entertainment companies in Korea, such as SM, JYP and YG and wanted to build something similar but using talent from all over the world, not just Asian talent. Coming from the musical theater world, he was impressed with the training aspect which he feels lack from a lot of talent that are consider "huge" in the world and wanted to do his part by creating a company that trains international artist from all over the world. IT Factor Entertainment is his baby and he will work very hard to make this company not just a dream but a reality. Jermaine really looks up to Park Jin-young, Lee Soo-man and Yang Hyun-suk as his inspirations as well as music moguls like Barry Gordy of Motown and Russell Simmons of Def Jam Records.
