Marc Van Lent

Born in the Netherlands, Marc (Marcellus) and his family soon set out on a modern day pioneer trek to the Salt Lake valley by way of Toronto and Calgary. Graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in film studies and loves a good story with well-rounded characters. In 2012 he quit his day job to direct and produce a TV pilot he'd co-written the year before with his pal, Emit Robins. A script, which had reached the semi-finals of the 9th annual Screenwriting Expo's screenplay competition for TV half-hour. Since then, Marc has worked on other projects, including "Flight From Shadow", a fan film based on Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series and "Mythica", a fantasy series starring Kevin Sorbo. In 2013, Marc completed his first novel, a YA sci-fi thriller titled "The Shape Shifter and the Samurai" which is represented by Folio Literary Management. His other writing credits include "Starry, Starry Christmas" an out of this world children's story which received an honorable mention at the 78th annual Writer's Digest writing competition.
