Ashley Bufkin was born in Culver City, CA, to Marenda and Reginald Bufkin. When she was thirteen, she moved with her mother and younger brother to Las Vegas, NV; it was here where her acting career began. Ashley studied Theater at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and later received an MFA in Theater from Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts. She is best known for her role as Jo March (Little Women, Hangar Theatre - Regional Theatre premiere), Emmy (A Doll's House Part Two, Barrington Stage Company - Regional Theatre premiere), and Julius Caesar (Julius Caesar, Shakespeare's Globe). In 2019, Ashley received a SALT Awards nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Play for her performance as Jo March in the Hangar Theatre's Little Women.
