Jordyn White is from the Kikino Metis Settlement in Northern Alberta. It was her family member, Stephanie Harpe who is an artist herself, that saw the potential in her. With a little nudge, her families love and on going support she landed an audition with APTNs Blackstone, where she made her first on screen appearance in the third season for a small speaking role. It was with the following two seasons that her character, Trisha Roy's story developed. The story sharing the hardships and challenges Indigenous youth encounter on and off First Nation Reserves and soon ... the terrifying reality of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman. It was with this role that Jordyn would receive her first award nomination and her first award win, a 2016 AMPIA Rosie award for "Best Performance by an Alberta Actress" for her performance in Blackstone Season 5. Her goals - To continue being a story teller and to further her education and experience in the industry.
