Chaz Moore was born January 23, 1989 in Evansville, Indiana. He is a Director, Producer, Cinematographer, and Gaffer, known for his work on The Get Lost Losers, Anomalisa (Oscar Nominated), Always A Bridesmaid (Netflix), Star Trek: Renegades, and The Family Business (BET). Chaz developed his passion for filmmaking during middle school and high school, while working on school news projects. After receiving a bachelors degree in cinema and photography at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, he decided to travel to Los Angeles, CA with six other college friends to pursue a career in Hollywood. At the beginning of his professional career, Chaz had to pay his dues working as a Production Assistant. These gigs eventually lead him into the grip and electric department after he collected numerous contacts from coworkers. Eventually he found himself working on sets, such as Llama Cop (Starz), The Lears (Sean Astin, Bruce Dern), D-Railed (Uncorked Entmt.), Warnings (Netflix), Influence (BET), College Humor Originals , and music videos for Bad Bunny, George Clinton (Parliament), Willow Smith, and Sean Paul. His directorial debut film The Get Lost Losers was released in January of 2022 on Amazon Prime, Walmart, and on the movie's website, thegetlostlosers.com. This mockumentary follows the most cantankerous rock band in Hollywood, as they prepare for a known music industry showcase. The movie is full of laughs and original rock music from the band. The Get Lost Losers won awards in five film festivals the previous year, including the Montauk film festival (NY), the Studio City film festival (Los Angeles), the Culver City film festival (Los Angeles), FOTA (IL), and the Canadian cinematography awards. Besides directing The Get Lost Losers, Chaz's other jobs during production included being Director of Photography, Gaffer, and Sound Recordist. Shooting took place in November of 2019 in Hollywood, when businesses were still open before the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Get Lost Losers was captured in a mockumentary style, with a mix of real time improvisation and scripted moments in public. Producing this film with Jason Sereno came easy, as they have worked together on Jason's Youtube channel jasonsereno.com for many years.
