Happi Johnson is a professional comedienne, actress, writer, producer, and director. "Happi" actually started out in "show business" at the age of 9, when she got her first guitar. By the age of 11, she had an electric guitar and was the first female electric guitar player in Memphis (at the ripe age of barely 11 years old!) and the only female member of a band who played for parties and talent shows around Memphis, TN. At the age of 12, she had an opportunity to play on some recordings that actually became hits in the 1960's. But, soon thereafter, she turned in her guitar and songwriting to concentrate on boys and a more "normal" social life. Oh well, people make bad decisions sometime! Happi got married at the age of 19 and moved from Memphis to Newport Beach, California. She immediately got jobs in broadcasting as a writer/producer/director and was in that business for 30 years. During that time, Happi also was honing her skills as a comedy writer and was writing for a variety of shows, comedians and performers. In the late 1980s, Happi was living in South Florida and joined forces with a very funny man named "Dick" and together, they performed comedy as "Fun with Dick and Sally". They even won a comedy contest on their very first performance, and went on to win "The Funniest Person(s) in Florida" in the late 1980's. But in 1990, Happi's parents passed away and she eventually found herself living in Memphis. Unfortunately, "Fun with Dick and Sally" was dissolved, as the distance proved too difficult to work with in order to maintain the act. During the next several years, Happi worked as a Licensed Private Investigator as well as an Entertainment and Activity Director for large retirement resorts. But her love for performing comedy was weighing heavily on her mind (and her waist). So, in 2012, Happi embarked upon a solo career in comedy and even started getting acting jobs, which she has enjoyed immensely.
