Born in Orizaba, Veracruz, Ana Karen Coy started her stage studies at the age of 8, joining musical theater groups and workshops, where she later appeared in different theaters of the state. She moved to Guadalajara at the age of 16 to join the Universidad de Guadalajara in the Performing Arts career, where she developed new skills and professionalized. Ana Karen Coy graduated from college in December 2020. In addition to the various plays where she has performed around Mexico, she also entered cinema during her career. In 2017, she starred in the science fiction short film "Instrucciones para morir" by Rafael Farga, where a young woman, by fate, has to accompany an astronaut in his last minutes of life. In 2019 she starred "El eclipse de Jimena", a short film directed by Rafael Larx, that deals with the different types of violence against women in Mexico. This short film has been presented at different film festivals, and still being distributed. In 2020 she performed in "El Encierro", a television series for Canal 14, which premiered in March 2021. In this year, she also starred "Fuego y Cenizas", a drama and romance short film, which was recorded in various spots of Jalisco. In 2021, she co-starred "El último viaje", directed by Yareni Chávez, a LGBTTTIQ+ romance short film that deals with the limits that oneself puts in a question of love. Ana Karen Coy has also performed in various musical and commercial video clips. In 2021 she moved to Mexico City where she continues to educate herself and work for various productions.
