Jainee

Jainee is an Indian Cinematographer and Director, born and brought up in New Delhi. Currently working based out of Mumbai, India. At the 53rd IFFI Goa, he was selected as a Cinematographer under 75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow by NFDC India. The short film he shot during this journey was released on Prime Video. Like Hindu mythological figures Yashodha and Devaki, he gained his formal film education under two mothers, whereas Yashodha's role was played by the Faculty of Film and television, PLCSUPVA, Rohtak where he studied Fine Arts in Cinematography and learned Physics and Aesthetics of Cinema, and Devaki's role is played by the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He also holds Bachelor's and Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from MBICEM, GGSIPU, Delhi, and Sikkim Manipal University, respectively. He has been mentored by several renowned Cinematographers' including Muraleedharan C K, Sushil Rajpal, and Siddharth Diwan while studying at film school and working in Mumbai. He started his career as an independent Documentary filmmaker based out of New Delhi but soon moved to Mumbai after completing his film school. He participated in the first-ever masterclass by the Indian Society of Cinematographers conducted by Sudeep Chatterjee, ISC in Mumbai.
