Van was raised in Yosemite National Park in California. He attended several colleges before journeying into the life of an actor. He has been in over 100 stage plays and various T.V. shows and movies. He met his wonderful and talented wife, Catherine, and settled down in the foothills of California, where they live with their son Colin. Van was dragged out of retirement, kicking and screaming, to do this movie. Steven J. Warner owes him. Big time.
