Leo van Dijl is a Belgian director and screenwriter. He debuted with his short film “Get Ripped”, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Outfest film festival in Los Angeles. He continued to direct projects, from documentaries to music videos. In 2015, his second short film, “Umpire,” which had its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival, was awarded the Wildcard Award for Best Short Film by the Flanders Audiovisual Fund organization and received a special mention at the San Sebastian Film Festival. Van Dijl's feature debut “Julie Keeps Quiet” (2024) premiered at the Critics' Week of the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
