Josh McCausland

Born October 21, 1992, Josh McCausland is an American director and music composer from Cincinnati, Ohio. Josh is best known for his short films Chaos Theory and Anamnesis as well as scoring the feature film, Alan and the Fullness of Time. McCausland was born in Kettering, Ohio to James McCausland and Debbie Naylor. He attended and graduated from Monroe High School in 2011. Josh played during his time in high school and followed a soccer scholarship to Nashville, Tennessee where he attended Cumberland University and studied art. He started his own company iQ flicks his sophomore year in college (2014) after leaving his contract videographer job as Sony Tree Studios in Nashville. He self-produced a multitude of short films, most notably, Wake Up. McCausland graduated in 2015 and moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee til 2019. He now resides in Chicago, Illinois. Josh started composing music in 2017 and release his first musical score debut with his short film, Chaos Theory that won two awards for Best Musical Score. As of late in 2018 he was in the production of a full-length documentary film (The Land Beyond), scoring a feature film (Alan and the Fullness of Time) and producing with his musical partner Eric Setterlund. The two make up the collaborative music project Signal Mountain. Signal Mountain released their first album, Familiar Trails early in 2019 as well as scoring a feature documentary, The Land Beyond.
