Mellownee Floyd, born in Las Vegas, NV, began dancing in drill teams and hip hop groups at age four. By fourteen, Mellownee developed a passion for stage and attended Las Vegas Academy as a theater major. While in high school, Mellownee performed in several stage plays and began writing short stories and poems. After high school, Mellownee served in the United States Army, where she found intrigue in culture and language. After leaving the Army in 2012, Mellownee once again pursued her acting career, redirecting her focus from stage to film. This change of direction allowed her to meet a group of filmmakers and actors who shared her passions for film, culture and languages. This led actors Mellownee Floyd and My Do to develop Chicken&Ramen Productions, a production company embraces and promotes diversity. Chicken&Ramen Productions consists of six members and five translations contributors with eight languages between them all.
