Andrew Govender is an Indian Actor, Model and Financial Analyst who was born in South Africa. In 2012, he won the title of Mr. South Africa making him the first Indian to win this title in over 30 years. He later went on to represent his country at the prestigious Mr World competition held in England. He graduated from a top tier University with an Honors Degree in Mathematical Statistics and Actuarial Science while still pursuing his Acting career. Andrew is also an ambassador for the Nelson Mandela Foundation. In 2014, he participated in the Nelson Mandela Children's Hospital Groundbreaking YouTube video series for which he also provides his voice-over talent. He landed his first acting role at 18 years old when he had to play a photographer snapping pictures of Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron. Govender made his feature film debut when he was cast in the Leading role in Sallas de Jager's critically acclaimed film 'Free State'. A movie set in the 1970's South Africa, when inter-racial relationships were illegal and racism was at it's peak. Andrew resides in Los Angeles where he is pursuing his Acting career while honing his craft at the Margie Haber Acting Studio.
