He also shares writing credits with the Doobie Brothers - Tom Johnston, Harry Olsten of Friends of Distinction and the Fat Back Band. The sample from Philemon Hou's famous "Grazing In The Grass" was the foundation for Rudy's composition which was chosen to be part of a compilation album for which Rudy has a publishing deal with MPL Communications, Paul McCartney Publishing (McCartney Productions Ltd). He is featured alongside artists such as Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson on this album. Licenses of Rudy's music have also been granted to Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. for the Dance Dance revolution series, Live with Regis and Kelly, and the Canadian TV series - Chris & John to the Rescue. He also contributed a free press give away for the single LA Desire, in conjunction with Variety Magazine; The song featured Rudy's horn arrangements played by members of Blood Sweat and Tears. Other noteworthy companies that have used Rudy's compositions are Lipton Ice, Savvy Entertainment, and Muzak. And his 2007 song "Ambitions" (Sunchasers) was up for nomination for the 50th Grammy's. In 2013, Rudy commissioned Todd Edwards to remix Kyrie's 1st single Rooftops. Later that year, Todd Edwards won a Grammy for Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album. Todd also managed to find time to cameo in Kyrie's Rooftops video itself. The video also features UK Garage Pioneers Ramsey & Fen, DJ Smiley, Nymz, and well loved UK comedian/actor Robbie Gee. In the shadows of the London Olympic Stadium, and in just under 11 hours, Rudy, director Phil Hawkins, and the crew managed to capture footage that makes a connection with the young generation through its gritty urban tale. With a theme that inspires, that just one encouraging individual can propel a young person into confidence and their unique gift. Rudy has worked with the top 10 sound engineers in America and the World, including Dave Pensado, Phil Tan, Jean-Marie Horvat, Ken Lewis, Brad Blackwood, Dave Donnelly (Chicago) and Mike Fraser, all of whom have contributed to 100s of millions of dollars of record sales and have proved to have the winning formula. Rudy has mastered his own engineering skills and attuned his ear to deliver compositions, scores, and recordings of an outstanding quality. Rudy worked on an 8 month run of shows several years ago at The Ocean Theatre in London, purposely refurnished to accommodate acts from America and International such as James Brown, Aretha Franklin, etc. and he also found time to help out every year at Light Up A Life. He said he, "didn't do it for the eggnog." Rudy brings an emotional intelligence to all of his writing. Be it music composition, arrangement, or scriptwriting for comedy or mystery, he tells stories with strong emotional pulls. Whether it be through words or musical tones and melodies, the best way to describe his moments of wisdom in his scripts and musical works is like that of the great Frank Capra. There is definitely a current need for a modern Frank Capra in the creative space of the world today. The messages that come with such simplicity and eloquence and are so true to the common man or child, no matter race or culture - championing themes of the underdog and the triumphs of life. Not to mention, stopping to have a laugh. TOUCH has elements of the uplifting team spirit vibe that could inspire lots of teenagers and adults, while also being witty and hilarious and even romantic. The writer of two very different full length feature scripts, TOUCH and Redland - Rudy has a remarkable way with the written word. He seems to draw the audience in, in a very warm and comforting way. He was the son of a tailor. And he makes reference to a perfect fitting jacket. "Fits like stories to our souls."
