Johnny Glasser is an American television, film and theatre actor. Johnny was born in El Paso, Texas of a Mexican-American Mother and a German Slovak-American Father. He is the eldest of two children born to Yolanda and John Glasser. Since he was the only child for almost 10 years he found ways to entertain himself by creating puppet shows and dance performances on his front porch for the neighbors. At age 14, after performing in the high school theatre and several, sold-out community theatre shows. Johnny caught the acting bug and was ready to study acting as a profession. He flew to the east coast and continued his studies in theatre acting where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. Upon arriving in New York City in 1996, he began performing in local Manhattan theaters. In 1997, along with three other college buddies, Johnny formed the sketch comedy group Home Groan. From 1999-2001, he danced hip-hop and freestyle with a local DJ and dance troupe. Immediately after he went on the road and performed in Minneapolis's Children's Theatre tour of LOUIE LOUIE, where he played the villainous Electric Eel. The next year, Johnny landed a supporting lead role on a cable access series in Brooklyn called TRUTH BE TOLD where he played Kyle. From 2004-2012 he continued to perform in Off-Off-Broadway theaters around Manhattan with performances of THE MOST FABULOUS STORY EVER TOLD, VALHALLA, JEFFR EY and INSPIRED BY. In 2013, he left New York City and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his craft in film and television. Immediately he began working on two short films, IT'S YOUR MOVE and IF WE TOOK A HOLIDAY.
