Ella Steinbeck graduated high school early in the top 10% of her class. Ella went on to major in nursing to find out that chemistry is really really hard. She switched majors to sociology but ended up becoming a hairstylist with a very high-profile clientele. Ms. Steinbeck moved to NYC from Las Vegas and due to joint pain could no longer pursue hair styling. When Ella first moved to NYC she lived near The World Famous Comic Strip and started to study stand-up comedy as a new creative outlet for her energies. As a comic it led to her being able to dabble as an actress, humor columnist and writer of all things written. She has worked with the living legend Martin Scorsese, on several projects, most notably as Tracy in Vinyl on HBO and is proud to say she got to work with Hal Hartley in Ned Rifle. This may all sound much bigger than it is but she's proud of it anyway. Steinbeck has been invited to perform in many festivals and contests including Women In Comedy Festival in Boston, she was a finalist in Gilda Radner's Gilda's Laugh Off in New Jersey and Ladies Of Laughter in NYC. She's been on Comedy Time TV and she was also a guest on Comedy N' More with Richie Gold on Channel 12 on Cablevision Connecticut. Ella Studied acting at the T. Schreiber Studio, studied improv at The PIT and currently works with a private acting coach. Directors and production staff reference her as being incredibly easy to work with. Ella has lived in 8 different states and once lived in Thailand for a month teaching English to novice monks. She was also on the cover of Time magazine October 12, 2015. Ella Steinbeck avidly recycles.
