Amanda Callahan began performing as a ballet dancer at a very young age. Her first performance was in Tchikovsky's The Nutcracker presented at SMU's McFarlin Auditorium in Dallas, TX. Gradually, through high school, Amanda began migrating from ballet to theatre performances. After playing the role of Clair in David Auburn's Proof at the International Thespian Society's national competition and gaining admission to N.Y.U. Tisch: being a professional actress became Amanda's principal passion. Continuing to train in voice, dance, and acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute (L.S.T.F.I.) in New York after receiving her B.F.A from N.Y.U. Tisch, Amanda has acted in numerous New York City theatre productions and in student films. Her most recent stage performance was in the L.S.T.F.I. Alumni Show (directed by George Loros) as Isabella Haverstick in Tennessee William's dark comedy "Period of Adjustment". Upcoming: the release of her most recent film credit in the independent feature Redemption, directed by Tim Martin Crouse. In this dark thriller, Amanda plays the supporting role of Beth, a warm hearted bartender.
