Bill Crossland is a writer, director, producer, and actor. A lover of movies and filmmaking since childhood, Bill pursued his passion throughout high school, honing his directing and editing skills while running the student news program. He went on to study film at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he directed short films and started writing what would become his first feature. After graduating with honors, he wrote, directed, and starred in a short comedy/drama based on his semi-autobiographical screenplay about a physically handicapped man who falls in love with an able-bodied woman, which screened at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. The positive audience reception inspired Bill and his producing team to get the feature film version of the story made; Bill's feature directorial debut, Catching Up (2019), premiered at the 2019 Heartland International Film Festival and screened at festivals across the United States leading up to its wide release in Fall of 2020.
