Garrett Ray was born in Temple, TX, and grew up in nearby Belton. Although he attended public school for a few years, the majority of his education was homeschooling. He began his career acting on stage at the age of twelve, playing the supporting role of Ellard Simms in "The Foreigner" by Larry Shue. He trained in slap-stick comedy and stage performance with ex-Wringling Bros. clowns, normally playing a dullard for comedic purposes. At fifteen, Garrett was cast in his first short film and began to pursue film both in front of and behind the camera. After years of studying and self-teaching, he started a production company (Solar Flight Productions) and worked with his team to use the production of their first five short films to raise money to fight human trafficking. He works full time in entertainment with his wife, Katie, and loves writing in his spare time.
