Ryan Swain (24 February 1990) is an English Television & Radio Presenter, DJ, Actor, Philanthropist and Professional Skateboarder. He was born in Malton, North Yorkshire, England. He attended Norton Community Primary School and later Norton College. After leaving Norton College, Ryan studied musical theatre and drama at Westwood Performing Arts Campus at Scarborough TEC in North Yorkshire. He graduated in 2006 with a distinction in Performing Arts and Media Studies. He grew up in Norton with his parents Deborah & Paul Swain and his younger brother Trent and is of Irish dissent. He has ADHD (Attention Hyperactive Deficit Disorder) and is a advocate of mental health and adult ADHD. Delivering motivational talks raising both awareness and funds for the disorder. Ryan has appeared on TV Shows such as Steph's Packed Lunch, Britain's Got Talent, Blue Peter and The Chrissy B Show. He has been on and hosted various television programs, presented his own shows on local and national radio stations and hosted for some the biggest brands and franchises in the music industry including BPI, The Brit Awards, Clubland and Ministry Of Sound. He is also a commentator and broadcaster for action sports and MCs competitions events, live displays and demonstrations in both skateboarding and BMX. Swain has won numerous awards over his career including York Community Pride Person Of The Year 2022 the People's Choice Award 2018 at The ICC Birmingham for his hard work in entertainment and for charity. He won the award over Tim Westwood, Sir Lenny Henry and Idris Elba for his valiant efforts. He was also runner-up for the Yorkshire Media Personality of the Year Award in The Yorkshire Choice Awards that year and was also nominated for Kate Granger Outstanding Achievement Award for his voluntary and charity work within his local community. In 2019 he won the National Choice Award in the National Entertainment Awards. He started his career as a 'coat style' entertainer at Flamingo Land Resort in North Yorkshire, hosting all of their popular Party In The Park concerts, his talents were then picked up for warming up for headline artists and acts across the country. Since then he has a gone on to host both festivals and events nationally and internationally working closely with some of the biggest names in both entertainment and music. Swain started his Radio career presenting voluntarily at Vale Community Radio in 2015 hosting a 90's themed show called This Is The 90's on Thursday nights live, from there he has gone on to present shows for Minster FM, BBC Radio York, Coast & County Radio and YO1 Radio and now hosts a weekly show on York Mix Radio called Party Mix which is on Saturday evening from 8.00pm.
