Val Todorov is a writer, director, visionary and activist. He finished Physics at Sofia University and MFA program in Film and Media Arts at Temple University, Philadelphia. He was a co-author of the first independent project for Constitution of Bulgaria in 1990. His science fiction book "Irkalla, the Land of the Dead" was a Bulgarian bestseller in 1991. From 1991 to 2012 he lived in the USA. He was a co-founder of Bulgarian Indymedia.org in 2004. He took part in the World Social Forum, Occupy Bulgaria, Life After Capitalism and he is actively engaged in alternative models of globalized capitalism. His interests are in cognitive science, cultural anthropology and evolutionary game theory. In 2013 he made the short film "Contre Jour" (30 min). His first feature is "Bulgaria, This Eternal Heresy".
