Sheri Winkelmann is from Chicago and has worked in theater off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. She is a graduate of the Goodman School of Drama Acting Program at DePaul University. Sheri is an entrepreneur and has built two successful companies, and was among the top 1% of sales professionals with the Cell Tech Corporation. Sheri has performed in multiple productions with Tony award winner, Randall Duk Kim, in their company, Classical Productions, and done workshops with Shakespeare and Co. in MA, and with The Globe Theater in London. Sheri is a dancer and singer and has performed professionally with Polynesian Hula, Middle Eastern Bellydance, and Latin Salsa Dance companies. She tours as a singer with her two one woman shows, "A Tribute to Marilyn" and "A Salute to Connie Francis" and has been a featured entertainer on the Malt Shop Memories Cruise with legends Frankie Avalon, Chubby Checker, and The Beach Boys. Prominent film and television roles include an unhinged conspiracy theory activist in a crossover episode of NBC's Chicago PD/Fire/Med, a fun-loving, caring aunt, with an obsessively competitive side, in the coming of age comedy, 'Play by Play', and an elegant, intelligent, wacky, housewife, who awakens from an accident believing she's the queen of America, in the comedy series. 'Queen of America'. She also appeared in a supporting role as a whimsical, dangerous, off the wall clerk, in the thriller 'The White Cat' in addition to a determined, ruthless, detective in the police procedural pilot, 'LAJD'. Sheri loves to perform improvisational comedy and write original characters. She loves exotic travel adventures from camel trekking in Dubai, to zip lining in the rain forests of Costa Rica, to exploring haunted castles in England, to meeting the Tibetan Oracle, at the Nechung Monastery in India, known as "The Demon Fortress of the Oracle King". Sheri is a passionate humanitarian, creating a project, "Compassion in the Himalayas" based in Dharamsala, India, serving the needs of Tibetan nuns, monks, and refugees. She is also a strong advocate for ending violence against women and children.
