Wesley Rickert

Wesley Rickert is a Canadian writer, director & producer of no-budget art house features, absurdist performance poet, noise musician, DIY audio producer & visual artist. His art house films combine his obsession for working with the aesthetics of abstract fictional characters and his zeal for exploring diverse elements of experimental cinema. He has made 5 feature films that defy easy categorization, is co-founder of the Thousand Island Artist Residency, co-founder of 253469 Productions, is a regular contributor to "Maintenant -A Journal of Contemporary Dada", Three Rooms Press, NYC, was friends with the American post-beat poet Steve Dalachinsky and has traveled & performed with the legendary Canadian sound poet bill bissett.
