Daniel Timothy Treacy Daniel (born June 28th, 1983) is an actor and producer, as well as the founder of Hyperbole Productions, a Portland-based production company specializing in independent feature films. Daniel, a Portland native, spent the better part of his twenties as a traveling salesman - a job that saw him all across the United States. It was during this time that Daniel realized he could quickly connect with people from all walks of life simply by mirroring their attitudes and body language. Upon discovering his natural ability to (in essence) play a wide range of characters, Daniel decided it was time to leave the road life behind and pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an actor. When offered a position in the Northwest Region, Daniel seized the opportunity and returned Portland. Back home, Daniel cut his teeth performing standup and improv at local venues, namely ComedySportz, Curious Comedy Theatre and Helium Comedy Club. There he cultivated a small but enthusiastic following, including several local filmmakers. Over the next few years, Daniel would star in multiple, award-winning short films, from the sweetly romantic "Letter to Bob," to the wildly irreverent "Bad Seed." In addition to his acting talents, Daniel has found equal success as a producer. Drawing on his background in sales and management, Daniel was able to build a network of both talent and investors within the Portland film community - a network which would allow him to start his own company, Hyperbole Productions. For his first feature film, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die," Daniel and co. managed to raise over $70,000 on Kickstarter, making it the second highest successfully funded, Portland-based film project in all of the platform's history (second only to Chuck Palahniuk's "Lullaby"). As soon as production on "Brain" had wrapped, Daniel set out to help finance his company's next film, "Road to Bob," a feature-length adaptation of "Letter to Bob," both of which star Daniel in the lead role. So far, the film has raised over $30,000 and shows no signs of slowing down. Most recently, Daniel has joined the production team for his most exciting venture to date-"America Inc."-an action-adventure/ sci-fi film. He is honored to be a part of the team and is prepared to contribute all of his time, talent and energy to this project - motivated in no small part by his firm belief that "America Inc." has the potential to be a game changer in the world of independent cinema.
