Matthew, descended from a band of itinerant wandering German musicians, was born into a family of artists and painters. He lived for his early years in the shadow of his younger brother's immense artistic ability. Matthew, having no skill in wielding a brush or strumming himself to ecstasy on a hurdy-gurdy, fell into the murky world of theatre, backstage provincial theatre. After leaving school, Matt studied TV and Video production and photography at Newcastle Under Lyme College, Staffordshire. Whilst at college he supported his education by freelancing in sports journalism and photography for some local newspapers. He also assisted on a number of low budget film productions. After leaving college he attended the university of Essex where, in 2002, he graduated with a BSc in Media Production and Technology. After graduation he became a marketing assistant for the Arc Theatre in Trowbridge Wiltshire, and also a lighting and sound technician for 2 other local theatres. But a change in direction was forced upon him... and Neptune's call was heard Once he tired of visiting the far flung exotic places he returned to his first love, that of the theatre, and whilst he tried to remain hidden in the shadowy recesses of backstage, he was propelled, nay... thrust into the light and quickly established a reputation for being a diva, a talented diva, but a diva non-the-less. His ability to slip on a bra and a hooped skirt in under 10 seconds cannot still be beaten to this day. He has, in the past few years resorted to debasing himself in front of cameras, most recently for Channel Four. He is routinely cut from productions and plays little or no part in the IMDb and has never appeared on the silver screen. In 2017 Matt was also the co-founder of the Dobfools Comedy Club along with his best mate Kerry. Working with many great comedians, the likes of Suzy Bennett, Alf, Mark Dennett and many more, Dobfools brought comedy to the people of Liskeard and the surrounding areas. They also worked with the original Tinky Winky; Mr Dave Thompson in workshops for aspiring comedians. Dobfools worked in conjunction with Olivier award winning and International mega star Mark Little. They helped develop and introduce the world to "Mark Little's 'Fool School". Again taking aspiring comedians, conducting a workshop and then performing in front of a paying audience. Now Matt is forging a career behind the camera, as creative director for Small Barn Studios... the story continues.
