Evo is an award-winning producer of immersive, interactive and participatory content. She teaches XR, AI and engagement design to producers, Fortune 1000 companies and governments seeking to design better media systems. Her consulting work as a creative executive includes charting the future uses of interactive engagement, immersive and open tools, crypto and blockchain, AI, XR and wearables in mediamaking. Evo founded Toyshoppe Systems, a practical FX shop in Los Angeles with her husband Brent Heyning. Over the last decade Toyshoppe has created elements for over 100 media features including major sci-fi film projects, touring shows, theme parks and new product R&D for AR/XR/VR companies. As a consultant Evo works at the intersection of social systems, design for impact and engagement in play for collaboration. She designs new types of live and social XR-TV integrated shows and series, prototyping future public media channels and how we will play with our devices for new types of game/show/experiences. Evo supports producers in documentary, narrative fiction, series, gameshow and reality experience development and hosts workshops and talks with media conferences around the world. During the pandemic Evo produced over 500 hours of live and interactive virtual events across metaverses from festivals and film premieres to conferences and buyers markets including famous artists and celebrities across fields and borders. In consulting endeavors she looks at the future of interfaces, intelligent fabrics and wearables, robotics and ecosystems for remote collaboration, XR for changing cities and culture and the future of public media as collaboratively owned. Evo is also a sci-fi writer and produces XR, VR and immersive works for web including the Journey to Wild Cacao and Silence in Paradise as social impact VR and web immersive works.
