Melissa Jimenez

Melissa Jimenez, also known as Mel D. Jimenez, was born in Chicago Illinois. She attended college at Flashpoint Academy in 2012 and graduated with a degree in Media Sciences. Mel's career began in film production on the set of "Munger Road" in 2011. She made the jump to television in 2017 as a Co-Executive Producer's Assistant to the late David Rodriguez on shows like "The Chi S1" and "Animal Kingdom S3". Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, she stepped into the Writers' room as a Writers' Production Assistant on John Well's "Animal Kingdom S4" and "Shameless S9." Mel achieved her first writing credit on the 2022 series "In From The Cold" where she was working as a Writers' Assistant.
