Latisha L. Collins is an actress and producer born and raised in Red Hook, Brookyn NY. Collins has always had an affinity for the arts whether acting, writing or poetry. As a child she would memorize her lines as well as everyone else's lines in her school plays within one hour after receiving her script. Collins would read and watch television daily and dreamed of the day when she would be on a television screen. On Film, Collins was able to work on films such as "Synergy", "Expendables" and "National Treasure" as well the independent film "Ghetto Tides." Collins studied with John Johnson in NY and later at Bloomfield College with David Rosenak. On Stage performing in "The Vagina Monologues" and "The Elephant Man" she was praised for her dynamic performance of "My Short Skirt." Collins moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Ivanna Chubbuck Agency and with Amy Lyndon of The Lyndon Technique. On Television Collins has appeared in Cory Lavell's "Ain't no Love Song" music video, Lifetimes "The Secret Lives of Women" Extreme Beliefs and Bari Wallerford's "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing." Additionally, Collins is the CEO of Kick It Live Productions. Her book Altered Demeanors (Poetry) will be out early 2015. She is also working on a feature film in which she will act, direct and produce. Collins also has two other novels that she plans on turning into screenplays late 2015.
