A. Lyric is an artist born and raised in The Bronx. A graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia H.S of Music & Art and The Performing Arts; this singer, songwriter, actor & poet is a constant champion for self love. She puts her passion for culturally relevant issues into her art to produce awareness. She recently released her 1st album entitled 'Your Ears Will Thank You Later' which fuses Soul, R&B, Blues, Funk and a splash of Hip Hop to create a lyrically provocative, vocally soothing sound. This summer A. Lyric was the winner of Major M.I.N.C. Radios 'My Idol' singing competition in The Bronx, N.Y. and a finalist in the 'Straight from the A.R.T.' talent competition. She's also performed at Yonkers 21st Annual Riverfest. Her performances and appearances include; African Vibes Radio, Legends Radio, BKS1radio.com and Bronxnet's Open (Artist Spotlight) with Rhina Valentin & Dr. Bob Lee. An active performer on the poetry scene, A. Lyric published her second poetry chapbook 'Fairy Tails Don't Exist'. She has featured all over N.Y.C including; The Nuyorican Poets Café, The National Black Writers Conference Poetry Café, Bronx Stories Series at The Bronx Museum of the Arts, The Inspired Word, The Women in Creative Rebellion Show and The Brooklyn Historical Society Bridging the Gap Series. She's also appeared as a guest lecturer/performer at Stony Brook University. Her acting credits include; Never Judge A Book By It's Cover, Black Wall Street (Kumble Theatre), Manhattan Plaza Suite (The Players Theatre), Barn Razing (Lehman College Studio Theatre), The Blues According to Langston Hughes (The Metropolitan Playhouse), A Season in The Congo (Lions Theatre), I Lost My Heart In Haiti (The Producers Club) and The Vagina Monologues (Hunter College).
