Wiqar Ali Khan

Born Wiqar Ali Khan to Pathan parents from the Swat Valley near the Himalayan Mountains in the NorthWest Frontier of Pakistan. They moved to England in 1960. Wiqar grew up and was educated in London. Wiqar is the 2015 Brand Ambassador of Coca-Cola for Asia. September 2014 he hosted the unveiling of the Audi A8 Matrix alongside Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) and Oscar winner Charlize Thereon (Monster) as the face for Audi. Wiqar is the 1st male to host Veet Miss supermodel 2014 reality TV show that broadcast on 15 TV channels simultaneously reaching an audience of tens of millions of viewers. Previously Wiqar shared the platform with David Beckham as the international Brand Ambassador for Motorola 2006-2010, and started his career after being Crowed the 1st Asian Male Supermodel in London Wembley in 1996 and as the Face of Calvin Klein 1997 with Hollywood heartthrob Mark Walberg, and has graced the cover of many magazines as a brand and solo personality and March 2015 will see his debut in his first feature film as the lead actor called Jalaibee (a Guy Ritchie / Tarantino style inspired caper movie) across cinemas in UK, Europe, Middle East, USA, Asia, Canada and Australia. Wiqar is best known for his work at MTV Networks as the VP where he launched MTV Pakistan on the MTV 25th Anniversary and headed the Creative and Content departments of MTV whilst conceptualizing, producing and directing 21 TV shows. Under Wiqar's stewardship, MTV Chairman and President Bill Roedy said at the launch ceremony that 'MTV Pakistan would be no.1' with Wiqar at its helm introducing new artists and accelerating the Pakistani music scene. His work has been credited with changing the style, quality and method in which young people were communicated to and making Pakistan cool. Wiqar Ali Khan is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience and exposure in international media and best remembered as the Vice President for MTV. Wiqar spearheaded, launched, built and ran a multimillion-dollar portfolio of multimedia brands spanning Satellite TV Channels, Radio, Magazines, Web portal, Gaming and a Record Label. The portfolio includes MTV, Fashion TV, BBC Asian Network, ZEE TV, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, ARY Digital, Wateen Multimedia, Radio 1 FM91, amongst others. In 2010 Wiqar founded WAK Media a TV and Feature Film production company and is based in Mayfair, London. Wiqar has worked in challenging environments contributing actively in the TV, Print, Electronic, New Media and the Broadcast Sector.
