Lindsay Visitor is a First Nations (Cree) actress from Paint Hills, Quebec. Became interested in acting when she first saw Oneida Actor Graham Greene in a film, Clearcut (1991). Became more inspired when she saw other films and television shows that included other First Nations actors such as Tom Jackson (Shining Time Station), Adam Beach (Squanto: A Warrior's Tale), Tina Keeper (North of 60), Tantoo Cardinal (Smoke Signals) and many others. Studied art and film at John Abbott College, Dawson College and Concordia University (Montreal, Quebec). During her time in Montreal, she worked as a co-host from CBC Radio North and from there she was asked by a colleague if she'd be interested in doing a few lines for an APTN television series Hit the Ice
