Jackie Tran was born in San Jose and as a young child loved to perform and learned to dance by watching his favorite performer, Michael Jackson. As a teenager he continued dancing and also studied acting and martial arts and became skilled at broadsword. He landed his first film role at age 14 in Love Hurts and he went on to star in two TV series.
