Vince Cruz

Vince Cruz is a Southern California native and UCLA graduate who began screenwriting in 2014 and instantly fell in love with writing. He became an active member of creative collectives, We Own the 8th and FilAm Creative, assisting and collaborating on several short film projects before writing and producing his own. In 2015, he started his B-movie review, YouTube channel, Slammarang! and started writing, producing, directing and acting in Slammarang! original comedy shorts, 'Interrogation Doom!' (2015) followed by 'Frankenfish & Chill' (2015). In 2016, he wrote, produced and directed the romantic comedy short, 'Blind Date!' (2016) and co-produced and directed the poetic drama, 'Apart' (2016). At the 2017 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, he premiered his 80's inspired boba comedy short film, 'The Last Straw' (2017) that he wrote, produced and co-directed. He later followed that up by directing the bodyswap comedy, 'The Coconut Chick' (2017) and writing, producing and directing his first sci-fi action short film, 'Typical Ellie' (2018). His upcoming projects include a follow up to his Slammarang! original short film series with 'Chupapacalypse' (in production) and developing his TV pilot script, 'Ringmasters'. Vince Cruz can be found regularly releasing content through Slammarang! and Cruzyadaddy Productions while supporting and collaborating with fellow filmmakers and the occasional cameo.
