Eduard was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine to a family of engineers. His mother Nataly Geyl, a biomedical engineer, is of Russian Ukrainian descent and his father Davyd Geyl, a software engineer, is of Ukrainian German ancestry. He is the brother of Australian writer-director Oleksandr Geyl. Eduard grew up in the North Western suburbs of Sydney, Australia, attending weekly drama classes at the Sydney Talent Company and appearing in various student short film and theatre productions. Upon graduating high school, he studied at Screenwise, Australia's leading film and television acting school, completing Australia's only 2 Year Full-Time Diploma in Screen Acting in 2018. There, he had the privilege of studying under the guidance of some of Australia's most esteemed performers, including Denise Roberts, Philip Quast and Benjamin Mathews. He made his television debut in 2016, as Jason Williams in Deep Water (2016), the SBS produced crime drama starring Yael Stone and Noah Taylor. Prior to his debut he played leading roles in several notable short films, including the role of Joel in Rhett Wade-Ferrell's Markers (2015), the story of a high school student grieving over the sudden loss of his father. Markers was a Dendy Short Film finalist at the Sydney Film Festival in 2015, and starred Geraldine Hakewill. Most recently, he has appeared as the Reverend Hale in a stage production of The Crucible, and in Oleksandr Geyl's short film Bernard (2020) opposite Nick Barker-Pendree, as an apprentice to an old man tortured by the fading memories of his past. Bernard enjoyed its premiere at the 2020 St Kilda Film Festival in Melbourne as part of the festival's official selection. In 2020, he will star in the lead role of Elliot Graham in the Youtube web-series Love, Guns & Level Ups (2020), an action comedy produced by the Australian production company Fury Fingers Films. The series follows the relationship between an introverted game developer, played by Geyl, and an international cosplayer, played by Lisa Fanto, as they discover the challenges of a real world relationship. Eduard's other credits to date include the music video Safety by Australian artist Jasia and the short films Little Secret (2017), Genevieve, Jacky Wants A Fight (2017) and Snake.
