Como T. Llama was born on a working ranch in the Garland Alps of Nebraska, to a Chilean sire and an Argentine dam. As a cria, Como played on 450 acres of rolling hills and grazed on prairie grass with 114 other llamas until he was adopted by a champion performance trainer, who saw his potential as an animal actor. During a performance at a llama show, Como's charm, eagerness to please, and spotted, curly coat caught the attention of an animal adventure company in southern California called ShangriLlama, who adopted Como in 2011 to join four other trained llamas for public trail walks. These trail adventures warmed the hearts of passersby and resulted in media attention from three TV news shows, an American and a Belgian reality show, two radio shows plus numerous blog stories. Como's first breakout performance aired April 1, 2014, in Starz Digital Network's new comedy web series called "Llama Cop." For six episodes, Como co-starred as a renegade cop involved in undercover work. In 2014, Como's human family and animal pack moved to the Dallas area, where they reside today offering trail walks and barn lessons about llamas, which often feature Como T. Llama knocking over feed bins and taking treats from the mouths of guests. Off-screen, Como can be found humming Spanish tunes, dancing to "The Macarena," and pondering why his name in Spanish means What's My Name?
