Andrey Dzhunkovskiy is a Russian director. His most noteworthy projects are «Sladkaya Zhizn» (Dolce Vita) an honest depiction of life of a pseudo middle class in today's Russia and «Luchshe Chem Lyudi» (Better Than Us) a drama about a dysfunctional family who accidentally acquires a killer robot. «Better Than Us» TV-series was a finalist in Cannes' 2017 MIPDrama Festival in category "projects in-progress". In 2019 the series was acquired by Netflix and will be the first Russian TV series branded as Netflix Originals. It will be available in 25 different languages worldwide. Andrey has also worked as a director, an editor and a 1st Assistant Director on multiple TV commercials and worked as the 1st Assistant Director on "Day Watch" (directed by Timour Bekmambetov ("Wanted")). Andrey graduated from Graceland University (IA, United States) majoring in Theatre and Psychology.
