Catherine grew up in Mount Prospect, IL, a suburb of Chicago. Her parents are Rita Louise Nielsen & Paul Wilhelm Meinhardt. Catherine attended Prospect High School where she competed on the gymnastics team all four years as a varsity all-around gymnast. She continued her gymnastics career at Iowa State University when she became a walk-on team member a month into the season. After graduating Iowa State University, Catherine continued as a gymnastics coach at private gyms and also Lake Zurich High School as Head Coach. She continued coaching gymnastics until the age of 31 when she then became focused heavily on competing in figure skating, fulfilling a dream she always had to skate in competition and more importantly for her father as they shared a common love of figure skating. Catherine graduated with a B.A. in Film, TV & Radio Production, along with a Minor degree in English, where she attended both Iowa State University and The University of Kent at Canterbury, England. Catherine also studied photography and after working for a few years in film production (as a Set Designer, Continuity Photographer, Make-up, Hair & Special Effects Make-up Artist) she became a special events photographer. This eventually led her back to the film set where she has enjoyed working as a Behind the Scenes Set Photographer/Videographer on many projects. Catherine has a young son, also an actor, Ryan Dickson. They have appeared together in a few films, a music video, and a couple of commercials. Being behind the scenes has not been the only place Catherine adores working. In-between semesters at Iowa State University, Catherine studied acting and appeared in over 26 feature and short films...Lucas, Home Alone, Backdraft, Curly Sue, Only the Lonely, Mo' Money, Gladiator, Flatliners, Jack & Mike (TV series), Horicon, and more recently in Dhoom 3, Grand Piano, The Incident (Web series), The Mob Doctor (TV series), Sirens (TV series), Betrayal (TV series), Doubt (TV series), Chicago Fire (TV series), The Night Before the Morning After, Eclipse, Que Billah Music Video (Kids Killing Kids), The Only Ones, Farewell Charlie, Grief, A School Paper, Vessel, and Verräter.
