Melanie Coleman

Melanie Coleman was born in the heart of downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Growing up in a Portuguese-speaking household most of the time, watching movies with her parents helped them understand the English language more, as well as kick-start Melanie's curiosity for the arts. Curiosity soon turned to love and wonder, there would be illustrations tucked away in binders everywhere. Stories in all genres scribbled down and stored in a very unorganized fashion. This was the beginning of a wonderful new world. In 2009 Melanie and her Husband, William, began their production company, 3 Demon Entertainment. First focusing on music videos mainly for the local music scene before moving onto creating short films. The first short film created under 3 Demon Entertainment with William directing was the horror/comedy Frankencock(2012). A spoof of Frankencock which plays out like a 7 minute grind house trailer. Frankencock hit the festival circuit and was nominated for best Grindhouse Trailer at the 2013 "B Movie Film Festival. In 2013, Melanie and William began directing together. Their first adventure was the proof of concept trailer called "The Reaper" which was nominated for best trailer at the 2013 International Movie Trailer Festival. The Duo's next film would be the 2014 short "Memory" which was originally done as part of the ABC's of Death 2 film challenge(2013). The short was met with much controversy over its subject matter and was one of the first films selected to be apart of the upcoming Horror anthology "World of Death". The short has played the Montreal Comic Con as well as the Online Toronto Film Festival. Recently Melanie along with her Husband, William have finished working on "Night Terror"(2014). A short about a young Woman being tormented by a demon while she sleeps. The short is being shown in the festival circuit, including the Toronto Online Film Festival and The Liberty Massacre Film Festival. 2015 promises to be an eventful year for both Melanie and William so stay tuned to stay updated!
