Sebi Lee, (aka Sooyeon) is an Emmy® Award winning creative storyteller. Born and raised in South Korea where she draws most of her artistic inspiration and fuel, Sebi came to the United States to study film following her passion to tell a story. Over 13 years of stint at Arizona Public Media (PBS), Sebi produced, directed, written and edited over 500 short stories, several quarterly art shows and documentaries featured in national PBS. Her strong background on production skills contributed to her unique producing and writing style which resulted in 10 reginal Emmy Awards. A decade-long collaboration with National Association Latino Independent Filmmakers (nalip) as a consulting producer/instructor/mentor has given her an opportunity to give voice to the marginalized and to form her own voice as an Asian woman filmmaker. Finally, Sebi polished her craft by working for an advertisement company producing high-end corporate TV commercials and web contents. Sebi brings her sensitivity to the underserved, journalistic background and unique cinematic vision as a producer, director and writer.
